Family Ministries

West Coast Kids Greeters:
Our Kids Greeters welcome guests with children and answer their questions. By facilitating a smooth process of getting children to their rooms, you'll help to create a peaceful atmosphere for kids and parents to enjoy and better receive from their West Coast Life Church experience.
Time Commitment: 1-2 services /month
Age Requirement: 15+

West Coast Kids Worship Leaders
Do you sing and enjoy leading children in worship? If you do, this is the team for you.
Time Commitment: The beginning of every other service
Age Requirement: 15+

Nursery Workers (6 weeks - 2yrs)
Do you love holding and caring for babies and toddlers? Each Sunday we have multiple opportunities to nurture, care for, play with, and pray for the little ones of West Coast Life Church.
Time Commitment: 1-2 services per month
Age Requirement: 15+

Pre-K Workers (3 yrs - 5yrs)
Share with little ones the love of Christ through bible stories in a safe and lively environment.
Time Commitment: 1-2 services per month
Age Requirement: 15+

K-1st Grade Workers
Teach children the message of Jesus Christ through a fun, energetic and creative environment.
Time Commitment: 1-2 services per month
Age Requirement: 15+

2nd - 5th Grade Workers
Share the message of Jesus Christ during our K-5th "One Big Experience" through stimulating worship, creative large group storytelling and an engaging community group environment.
Time Commitment: 1-2 services per month

The Fuse
If you're interested in serving the middle school students on Sunday mornings, this is the place for you. Through fun games and exciting, relevant messages, you'll take part in reaching students and sharing the love of Christ.
Time Commitment: Every other Sunday
Age Requirement: 16+

The Ignition
If you have a heart for teenagers and enjoy loud music, you're probably supposed to be serving in the Ignition. The Ignition service is for all students (6-12th grade) and meets on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm. Join Pastor Josh and his team as they "Ignite a movement, and immobilize a generation."
Time Commitment: Tuesday Evenings, 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Age Requirement: 18+

Friend In Need
We strive to reach out to those in need. If you like to cook and give to others, check out our Friend In Need Team. This team prepares and delivers food during family emergencies.

Guest Services

Parking Team
The West Coast Life experience begins in the parking lot. The parking team is an excited, friendly and smiling group of people who are the first face of West Coast Life. This team, literally, makes the first impression on every guest. Volunteering on this team isn't about putting cars into parking spaces, but about creating a friendly environment where people feel genuinely welcome.
Time Commitment: 1-2 Sundays per month
Age Requirement: 15+

Greeter
This team actively demonstrates God's love with every smile and hello. Conversations are short, but the potential to make a lasting impression is immeasurable. Do you have a cheerful smile and enjoy welcoming people? Greeters are energetic, talkative, and friendly. Greeters help our members and guests feel at home and relaxed - ready to receive from the sermon.
Time Commitment: 1-2 services per month
Age Requirement: 14+

First Impressions
An experience encompasses all the senses. When our guests arrive at West Coast Life, we want to honor them by creating a welcoming experience through a clean and fresh environment. This team may not be seen on Sundays, but everyone that walks onto the campus notices their impact.

Ushers
Creating a worship experience that is distraction-free and focused on the gospel is an essential element of every Sunday morning. Ushers are responsible for welcoming guests to the worship experience, helping them find a seat, and minimizing distractions so that they are relaxed and ready to focus all their attention to the sermon.
Time Commitment: 1-2 services per month
Age Requirement: 18+

Info Center
Keeping people connected and informed is important at West Coast Life. If you have an eye for detail and enjoy helping others, the Info Center Team is the place for you.

Altar Care Team
There is nothing better than seeing someone start their new life in Christ. This team follows up with and helps new believers begin their journey.
Time Commitment: Varies according to specific team; On-campus and from-home opportunities;

Production Teams

Praise & Worship Team
Are you a talented musician or singer looking to use your gift to lead others in worship? Here is your opportunity! Worship plays a huge role in what we do at West Coast Life. We have teams for The Fuse, The Ignition and our Sunday morning services. If you're interested in trying out, let us know today!
Time Commitment: Varies as needed
Age Requirement: 18+

Audio Team
If you want loud music, you're going to want to join this team. The duties include setting up the audio systems, managing the wireless equipment, cabling and testing equipment, among other responsibilities.
Time Commitment: 1-2 services per month
Age Requirement: 16+

Media Team
Love Multimedia? Then you'll love this team. It's responsible for all media necessary for filming and capturing our services. Setting up projectors, screens, cables, running cameras, and other related video-gadgetry will keep you busy most Sundays if you're a part of our Media Team.
Time Commitment: 1-2 services per month
Age Requirement: 16+

Lighting Team
There might not be anything better than sitting in the light booth with the ability to change the whole room by sliding a fader or pressing a button. That's what you get to do on the lighting team. You get to help keep the worship experience flowing smoothly by coordinating the lighting.
Time Commitment: 1-2 services per month
Age Requirement: 16+

Operations Team
Think of what the brain does for the body. This is what the Operations Team does for our services. Once everything has been set up and is ready for service, the Operations Team makes sure the worship and service goes smoothly. The Operations Team manages (with a spirit of excellence) the on-screen lyrics and other on-screen visuals during service using a computer.
Time Commitment: 1-2 services per month
Age Requirement: 16+

Set-up and Tear-down Team
The backbone behind each and every service and function, the Set-up and Tear-down Team is vital. They're the first ones on campus and the last ones to leave. From setting up the kids classrooms and banners to tearing down the stage and lobby, this team makes each of our functions possible from start to finish.
Time Commitment: Before & after 1-2 services per month
Age Requirement: 14+

Actors
Are you the kind of person that loves acting and being the life of the party? Our actors have the privilege to act out scenes for West Coast Kids that share biblical principles and share the love of Jesus Christ.
Time Commitment: Every other week
Age Requirement: 15+

General Office Projects Team
This team handles a real variety of hands-on projects each week - preparing mailers, assembling materials for our worship services, running errands... just to name a few.
Time Commitment: Variable week to week, as needed

Assigned Office Volunteers
This special category of administrative volunteering involves assisting staff or support personnel. These opportunities are limited in number and typically require some degree of related experience, knowledge and/or skills.
